CANAAN DANCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing performing art talents while actively promoting the art via community outreach activities, performances and International Competitions.
We organize workshops and auditions to exchange of cultural and ethnic styles into a richer dance experience and Help providing scholarship for students in Asia to study in professional ballet schools aboard.
With our productions, we challenge artists to achieve their very best, and we provide them with opportunities to develop their full potential. We have not only increased the scope of performance opportunities for our students and artists, but also have stimulated the appreciations of performance art to a wider group of audiences.
Canaan Dance has been organising international auditions from several foreign professional schools. Through The Star of Canaan International Ballet Competition scholarships have been presented to talents youngsters including the School of American Ballet Theater(USA), the Royal Ballet (UK), English National Ballet School(UK), Elhmurst Ballet School in Association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet(UK), Kirov Academy of Ballet Washington DC(USA), Orlando Ballet School (USA), The School of Cadence Ballet(Canada), The Vassiliev Academy of Classical Ballet(USA), The Sarasota Ballet School(USA), The Shanghai Dance School(China), The Ballet Centre of Fort Worth(USA) . Our Master classes have broaden students' sight and many of the talented students are accepted in different summer course and professional training programs. Renowned directors, ballet masters and mistresses that we have been working with include Mr. Robert Parker, Mr. & Mrs Stephen Jefferies, Mr. Vladimir Issaev, Mr. Andrei Vassiliev, Mr. Chen Yongfu, Mr. Liu Bingxian, Miss Yan Chen, Mr Tseng Chung Lin and Miss Enrica Tseng.
